It has been my experience that  a house is not your dream home because of its size or color.  It is about the how you feel when you walk in the door.  It is a good idea to narrow down your search by location, driving by to see the neighborhood and getting a feel before scheduling a showing.  But, when it is the final decision, it is about your life, your dreams and how this home fits with your family. 

 

After the contract is accepted.  The process then begins and that is when a good agent is needed.  Negotiations, time limits, due diligence periods, inspections, appraisals are only a part of it.  A good lender and other contacts are needed. Meet with a lender to find out how much money you need to put down and what price range you qualify for.  Decide where you want your monthly payment to be and look in that price range. Do the math, it pays off!  Getting pre approved can put you in a much stronger negotiating position beause it shows the seller you are committed and financially capable.
